This was one brave senior! It was raining, windy and freezing but we still ventured out and gave it a shot! I think he did a great job for someone who doesn't like being in front of the camera. P.S. Jonathan, was it as painless as I promised? LOL

Pure Love

So today was Valentines Day and I'm sitting here thinking... This past year I learned a lot about friendship and how precious it is. I love my friends and everything I am is partly because of them. Sometimes in life you find people that trump friendship, they are entwined in the cords of your most cherished memories, they are the reason a smile can still be found even on the worst days. You can find them in the tears you've shed while praying late at night. They bear your burdens, dream your dreams and love you in spite of you.

I have found a few of these people and my life will forever be exceptional because my heart has known you....

I want to tell you about one in particular. Joni has been my friend for almost 12 years but just within the past 5 have we found real friendship. You see Joni and Justin have been married for almost 12 years and they have 2 beautiful babies, but that wasn't always the case. They tried for about 6 heart renching years to become pregnant. Every year that went by was so very emotionally exhausting. Friends and family all around them seemed to conceive effortlessly, leaving them with questions and desires.
Oh but one day standing in my kitchen she gave me the news!!! Joni, do you remember that day??
So here's to you guys because I love you and adore all that God has done for you....

Another first!

Well my oldest lost his first tooth!! After tormenting me for months with this lose tooth, he finally pulled it. Check out the pics:

Ok so I'm treating myself to a digital album of my family shots from last year, (mostly because I just don't have time to scrapbook anymore). I wanted to keep the design mostly geared toward my boys. While looking through the pictures, I found this one I took while at youth camp with our church. I got up so early just so I could get this shot. So here it is, no filters, no actions, no fluff, just me with my camera finding the beauty God created. It reminds me of why I so love photography.
